MISSION
&Sons Theatre is an ensemble-based company dedicated to asking questions. Questions that can be invasive and uncomfortable; that make us face the difficult parts of being human - and realize that none of us has the answers. Us included. Which is why we have to ask them. We want to create a meaningful relationship with audiences that invites and creates empathetic engagement. For you to realize it's ok to change your mind. Join us on a deep dive with audiences into vulnerability, the intensity of living, and giving a voice to the feelings we don't have words for. We are doing work that means something to us; that explores. It won't mean something to everyone - not everyone will like it. But that's ok. This can be theatre for you, if you let it be for you.
&Sons Theatre is on a mission to create insightful, intentional, uncompromising, unconventional, give no fucks theatre. We're tired of kitchen sink dramas and golden age musicals. We're tired of being polite and our work won't be. We are drawn to highly evocative, emotional pieces - whether they be modern or classical reinterpretations. We find new works exhilarating. Regardless of the piece, we strive to make art that is ensemble-driven, movement-based, and deeply invested physically and emotionally. We would love to collaborate with other artists on a wider scale at an intersection of artistic mediums.
Get in bitch, we're making art.
